The Czechoslovak Vz. 53 (M53) steel helmet is a classic design based on the Vz. 52 which was simply just a USSR-supplied Shh-40 helmet refitted with a leather liner. The Vz. 53 was issued to troops in the early 1950s and even saw combat during the Warsaw Pact Invasion in 1968, until the 1980s when they replaced the leather straps with a four-point nylon strap and chin guard resulting in the Vz. 53/80.
This helmet is in good condition with some minor scratches and scuffs. Perfect addition to any cold war military collector.
